Festival Internacional Jazz Peru Is a colaboration between Jazz Perú Internacional and Biblioteca Nacional del Perú; sponsored by the United States Embassy and supported by numerous other diplomatic houses, embassies and persons. Every year, the festival comprises a week full of special cultural events. Over 50 concerts, masterclasses, jam sessions, and outdoor celebrations make this week the most active jazz week in Lima. Every year, a featured artist composes new works for the festival, sharing and experimenting with traditional Afro-Peruvian rhythms within a unique project called Orquesta JazzPeru.
